The Most Dangerous Game

In this Portfolio reflection I will share with you my strength's during this assignment and areas where I could have of done better plus more.

Looking back on my essay from grade 10 where I analyzed "The most dangerous game " I feel a mix of pride, for my insights and an awareness of areas needing improvement. One strong point in my essay was how I delved into the theme of survival in Richard Connells story focusing on the characters like Sanger Rainsford and General Zaroff as they face survival challenges on Ship Trap Island. I also showed a grasp of character development by illustrating how Rainsfords shift from hunter to hunted symbolizes human themes and vulnerabilities. Yet I realize there are aspects where I can enhance my analysis further. While I did well in exploring characters and main themes I could have gone deeper into analyzing Connells use of symbolism and literary tools to convey these ideas. Additionally improving clarity and coherence in my writing style is crucial. Looking ahead my goal is to dig into the text by incorporating textual evidence and scholarly sources to back up my arguments. In conclusion reflecting on my grade 10 essay has been a learning journey that has highlighted both strengths and areas for improvement, in analysis and critical thinking.

My favourite piece:
Poetry Anthology

Looking back on the poetry collection I compiled in my grade 10 year, I experienced a blend of satisfaction and self-reflection. Delving into the world of poetry enabled me to articulate my thoughts and emotions in ways. One aspect I excelled in was the impact conveyed through my poems. Each piece offered a glimpse into my feelings resonating with readers on a level. I also discovered my skill in experimenting with forms and styles showcasing versatility in my writing. However I acknowledge areas where growth is needed. While emotive depth is a forte of mine it occasionally overshadowed the importance of refining structure and technique. My goal is to deepen my comprehension of tools, like meter and rhyme scheme to craft polished works. Furthermore I aim to expand the scope of themes explored venturing beyond territory to nurture development. In sum my sophomore year poetry collection marked a stage in my journey as a poet revealing both strengths and opportunities, for advancement.
